If you’re passionate about supporting students and want to make a meaningful impact in a Christ-centred school community, Carey Baptist College would love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

We are welcoming Expressions of Interest from Relief Teachers and Educational Assistants to join our Carey Relief Pool at our Forrestdale Primary Campus.

This ongoing pool supports short-term and casual opportunities across our Primary School. Whether in the classroom as a teacher or supporting students as an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning, care, and connection.

Whether you are:

  • An experienced educator seeking flexibility
  • A graduate building your classroom confidence
  • Returning to the workforce
  • Or looking to align your faith with your work

Carey offers a place where your contribution genuinely matters.

Why This Role Matters

Our Relief staff are more than “cover.” You are stepping into moments that matter:

  • Maintaining stability for students
  • Supporting learning continuity
  • Creating safe, engaging, and respectful environments

At Carey, every interaction shapes a student’s experience and that’s where you come in.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who:

  • Are committed to working within a Christian worldview and modelling Christ-like character
  • Build connection quickly and create environments where students feel known, safe, and supported
  • Are adaptable, proactive, and confident stepping into new classrooms or support settings
  • Value collaboration and contribute positively to team environments
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting students — academically, socially, and spiritually

For Teachers:

  • Current registration with the TRBWA

For Educational Assistants:

  • Experience supporting students in an educational or similar setting (desirable)

For all applicants:

  • Current Working With Children Check
