The Opportunity

Carey Baptist College Forrestdale, a private coeducational Christian school with open enrolment, is seeking a passionate and skilled Secondary Humanities Teacher to join our dedicated team on a part-time basis (0.48FTE). This role is ideally suited to an educator who enjoys engaging students in the exploration of history, geography, civics, and the social sciences, and who thrives on building strong relationships with learners in Years 7–10.

Set within the beautiful natural bushland of our Forrestdale campus, our school offers a unique and supportive environment that nurtures student growth, character development, and academic achievement.

We welcome applications from experienced secondary-trained Humanities teachers who are passionate about inspiring curiosity and critical thinking in students. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons, provide constructive feedback to support student progress, and actively contribute to the collaborative and innovative culture of our school.

Experience with programmes such as AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) and Visible Learning will be highly regarded, as will the ability to integrate contemporary global issues and real-world contexts into Humanities teaching to make learning meaningful and relevant for students.
