The Opportunity
We are seeking a Woodwork and Metalwork Technician (0.6 FTE) to join our Secondary team at Carey Harrisdale.
This is an exciting role for someone who loves working with timber, metals, tools, and machinery — and who takes pride in creating safe, functional, and inspiring workshop spaces. You’ll play an essential part in supporting our Design and Technologies teachers by keeping our workshops running smoothly and ready for hands-on learning.
What Matters Most
At Carey, we believe great learning happens when creativity meets craftsmanship — and that starts with well-equipped, safe, and organised learning environments.
Our Technician plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring every class has what it needs to bring projects to life — from cutting and welding to sanding, drilling, and finishing.
Whether you’re an experienced tradesperson or a practical all-rounder with a background in fabrication, construction, or manufacturing, this is your chance to support the next generation of makers and problem-solvers.
