If you're an engaging educator who loves connecting real-world learning with young hearts and minds, Carey Baptist College – Harrisdale Campus would love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
We’re currently seeking a Secondary Accounting, Business and/or Humanities Teacher to join our Harrisdale team in a fixed-term role from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026, with potential for the role to become permanent.
This role is 0.6 to 1.0 FTE, and we’re open to shaping the load around the right person’s strengths across Commerce (Accounting, Business Management) and/or the Humanities learning areas. Whether you’re an experienced teacher looking for a fresh start or a graduate ready to be mentored in a supportive and mission-driven environment, this is a wonderful opportunity to teach meaningfully in a school where people genuinely come first.
What Matters Most
At Carey, we believe great teaching doesn’t start with content, it starts with connection. As a member of our Secondary team, you’ll do more than deliver a syllabus, you’ll walk with students as they explore big ideas, grow in confidence, and develop a sense of purpose in the world.
This role is perfect for someone who loves interdisciplinary learning, values relationships, and wants to be part of a team that is shaping the next generation of ethical, informed and community-minded thinkers.
What You Will Bring:
- A vibrant and growing Christian faith and the ability to actively support the College’s mission and values
- A strong teaching capacity in Accounting, Business, Humanities (or a combination)
- TRBWA registration (or eligibility) by the time of appointment
- A flexible and collaborative spirit – willing to grow, share, and contribute to the broader school culture
- A heart for young people, and a genuine belief in their potential
