The Opportunity

Carey Baptist College Forrestdale is seeking a passionate Primary Teacher for a 12-month fixed-term contract, starting Term 3, Week 4, at 0.6 FTE.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an educator who is committed to creating engaging and supportive learning environments, with the potential for ongoing employment beyond the fixed term.

About the Role

• Teach classes using various strategies appropriate to the WA Curriculum and/or Early Learning Framework, recognising and providing for individual differences in students.
• Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in key learning areas.
• Maintain good discipline in the classroom and within wider College settings.
• Maintain records of class attendance.
• Implement effective student management consistent with the College policies.
• Demonstrate care and concern for the spiritual, emotional, social, and academic development of students.
• Communicate information about student wellbeing to relevant pastoral care staff in a timely manner.
• Actively contribute to the wider life of the College including pastoral care, camps and sport.
• Work co-operatively with College Leadership and colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the College.
